DLR is a very active defensive position with multiple sweep and transition options. The basic DLR position has your outside leg wrapped around your opponents leg with the same side arm grabbing the ankle. Your other arm is used to establish a grip. One common action is to sweep your opponent. As your opponent works towards freeing their leg, pull them into you and extend your DLR hook out. This causes them to fall to their back, allowing you the opportunity to follow and end in Top Mount.
